The MacPack Academy offers a variety of courses that cover domestic transportation, air transportation, and ocean transportation. Our courses are designed for you to learn at your own pace, in a classroom or online, and in-person or remotely.
Our Domestic class covers the pertinent regulations in the 49CFR. It is our foundational course. It is also a prerequisite for all of our other courses. It is a requirement to comply with the United States regulations no matter which mode of travel you are sending your cargo!
You will learn our 5 step process for preparing dangerous goods for transportation in compliance with US regulations:
PLUS, safety information and a required security component.
Our Air class covers the pertinent regulations in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and builds on the 5-step process that you learned in the Domestic class.
Our Ocean class covers the pertinent regulations in the IMDG Code and builds on the 5-step process that you learned in the Domestic class.
Military Air Class
Our Military Air class builds on our Air Class. You will learn how to prepare shipments according to the Air Force Manual, AFMAN 24-204. This course focuses on the places where the AFMAN differs from the IATA regulations.
Lithium Battery by Air Class
This add-on class to our Air Class covers everything you need to know to ship Lithium Batteries by Air. IATA’s Lithium Battery Guidance document is included in the handout section.
In MacPack Academy-style, our course presents the information in an easy-to-understand way!
Our Packaging class covers all the basics from choosing the appropriate packaging materials for your shipment to palletizing your shipment.
